Motthaw Hoermar (aga 7) Robert Edens Earns Degree Robert Hogan Edens, Kings Mountain native, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology during special commencement exercises for Southern Illinois University at the base chapel at Pope Air Force Base on June 24. Edens, who graduated with honors, is a 1931 graduate of Kings Mountain High Schod. He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Edens of Kings Moun tain. He and his wife, Eunice, have two daughters, Valerie and San dra. Edens is stationed at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, S.C. Miss Long On Dean's List Connie M. Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Eugene Long of Route 1, Grover, was one of 273 undergraduates at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro who made the Dean’s List during the spring semester. Miss Long is a music major. Other Cleveland County students attaining Dean’s List honors were Billee R. Richards of Lawndale, Laura J. Cardell of Shelby and Lilian H. Farrior of Shell^. Miss Heavner In Internship RALEIGH, NC—Cathy Heaveer of Kings Mounain, a student at Appalachian State University, has been appdnted to a missions internship with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Heavener, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Waters of 203 Morris Street, is working with juvenile offenders for ten weeks this summer.
