BOLT Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bolt, 81, of Kings Mountain Convalescent Center, were conducted Monday at 4 p.m. at Masters Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Odas Shelton and the Rev. Johnny Heath. Burial was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Bolt died Saturday at Kings Mountain Hospital after an illness of several months. She was the wife of the late Brack William Bolt and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Rufus Hullender. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. ' Surviving are one son, Thomas Eubanks Bolt of Dublin, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Albany (Thelma) McKeehan and Mrs. C.M. (Mae) Lovelace of Kings Mountain; one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Perry of Kings Mountain; nine grand children, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. GLEN HAMPTON Carmet Promotes Hampton Glen J. Hampton has been named maintenance foreman for Carmet Company’s Minetool division, a member pf AUegbeoy International, Inc. (formerly Allegheny Ludlum Industries.). Joining Carmet Minetool in 1977, Hampton had most recent ly been a maintenance group leader with the company. A graduate of Gaston College with a degree in business ad ministration, Hampton is mar ried to the former Sherry Cook of Dallas, and is the father of two children. Carmet Minetool is a major supplier of mining and construc tion tools. Pathologist Service Accredited The pathology service at the King Mountain Hospital, Inc. was awarded a certificate of ac creditation this week by the Col lege of American Pathologists, a medical specialty organization of more than 8,500 pathologists. President of the College, Lawrence J. McCormack, MD, stated that the laboratory receiv ed its certification from the Col- lege’s Commission on Laboratory Accreditation. The laboratory has successfully met the College’s standards for laboratory performance, deter mined from the results of an in tensive, on-site inspection by a volunteer pathologist inspector from the College. An on-site in spection is carried out every two years, with an interim self inspection and constant monitor ing of the laboratory’s proficien cy test results. ‘This accreditation,” em phasized Dr. McCormack, “reflects credit to the institution and assures patients and physi cians of the continuing accuracy and precision of the laboratory’s services.” The Laboratory Accreditation Program of the College is recognized as one of the most outstanding medical peer evalua tion systems in the world. Its goal is to promote the best possi ble laboratory performance via a program which examines and evaluates all phases of a laboratory’s operation. LH. DAVIS Funeral services for Lawrence H. Davis, 69, of Casar, formerly of Kings Mountain, were con ducted Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Pisgah Baptist Church in Casar by the Rev. Dean Coffey, the Rev. Fred West and the Rev. Buddy Oliver. Burial was in the church cemetery. Davis died Thursday at Kings Mountain Hospital. Mitchem He was the former owner of West End Used Cars and Auto Parts in Kings Mountain and a member of the Kings Mountain Masonic Lodge. He was the son of the late Elex and Lucy Ander son Davis. Survivors include his wife, Knox Seagle Davis; a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Peggy) Horn of Polkville; a brother, Lloyd Davis of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Mrs. Reuben Navy of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Violet Johnson and Mrs. Dwight Gaines of Clarksville, Ga.; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. MRS. ALLEN Funeral services for Mrs. Aurelia Dover Allen, 89, of 200 South Oriental Avenue, Kings Mountain, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Bap tist Church by the Rev. Sam Murphy. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Allen died Sunday at Kings Mountain Hospital following several days illness. She was a native of Cleveland County and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Dover. Her husband was the late William A. Allen. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Hal Allen of Belmont and W.E. Allen of Clemmons, S.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Grace) Talbert of Kings Moun tain, Mrs. James (Selma) Crawford of Kings Mountain and Mrs. E.L.
