MILLER Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth England Miller, 69, of 212 McGill Court, Kings Mountain, were conducted Wednesday at Sisk Funeral Home East Chapel in Bessemer City by the Rev. Mitchell Pruitt and the Rev. George Leigh. Burial was in Westview Gardens. Mrs. Miller died Monday at Kings Mountain Hospital. She was the daughter of the late J.S. and Allen Belue England, and the wife of the late Bill Miller. Surviving are one son, Billy Miller of Bessemer City; a brother, L.B. England of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Head of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Geneva Shawker of Glen Burnie, Md., and Mrs. Alma Christenbury of Gastonia, and three grandchildren. MRS. ELLISON Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Plumb Ellison, 40, of Route 3, Kings Mountain, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Cherryville, where she was a member, by the Rev. Dan Silver and Chaplain Len Byers. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ellison died Monday at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Fayette County, W. Va., and was a member of the Together We Cope Club of the American Cancer Society. She was the daughter of the late William and Carrie Comer Plumb. Survivors include her hus band, Richard Ray Ellison; four daughters, Cathy Lee, Laura Lynn, Kay Ann and Esther Renee Ellison, ail of the home; five brothers, LeRoy and Gilbert Plumb of Blythe, Calif., Wallace Plumb of Beckley, W. Va., Ron nie Plumb of Paradise, Calif., and Willie Ray Plumb of Findlay, III.; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Browne of Paradise, Calif. W.R. CHAMBERS William Rufus Chambers, 71, of 737 Canterbury Road, Kings Mountain, died Tuesday at Kings Mountain Hospital. He was a Cleveland County native and a member of Ebeneezer Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chambers. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Crocker Chambers; three brothers, the Rev. Clyde Chambers of Shelby, and Warden and Lawrence Chambers, both of Kings Moun tain; and one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Chambers Moore of Kings Mountain. Arrangements will be an nounced by J.W. Gill and Sons Funeral Home. RJI. FLOWERS Funeral services for Robert R. Flowers, 79, of 901 Rhodes Avenue, Kings Mountain, were conducted Wednesday at Macedonia Baptist Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Tom Patterson and the Rev. Kelly Dixon. Burial was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Flowers died Monday at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Flowers. He was a retired textile worker. His first wife was the late Mary Brannon Flowers and his second wife was the late Myrtle Morrison Flowers. Surviving are his son, Harold Flowers of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Bumgard- ner of Gastonia and Mrs. Margie Bowers of Belmont; two step sons, K.E. and Roy Morrison, both of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Lloyd and Grier Flowers, both of Bessemer City; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. G.L. ALLEN Graveside funeral services for Grady Lee Allen, 47, of Route 1, Grover, will be conducted at I p.m. Thursday at the Patterson Springs Baptist Church cemetery by the Rev. Harvey Beeler and the Rev. Randy Jenkins. Allen died Tuesday at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. He was an employee of the North Carolina Department of Transportation. SCOTT FARRIS Scott Farris Graduates From Basic E3 Andrew Scott Farris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Farris of Bowling Green, S.C., formerly of Kings Mountain, is undergoing 10 weeks of special schooling in Turbine Engineering at Great Lakes Naval Base, Great Lakes, 111. Farris graduated basic training at the Naval Training Center in Orlando, Fla. September 11. KM Citizens See Circus Thirty members of the Kings Mountain Aging Program at tended the Carson and Barnes circus Monday at the Kings Mountain Industrial Park. Tickets were courtesy of Kings Mountain businessmen and the sponsoring Kings Moun tain Fire Department. Some members attended the performance of the North Carolina Symphony at B.N. Barnes Auditorium. Tickets were compliments of Andy Neisler, chairman. Surviving are his wife, Janet Edmondson Allen of the home; one son, Timmy Allen of the home; two stepsons, Bobby Mode of Shelby and Timmy Mode of Kings Mountain; one daughter, Mrs. Tery Lynn Pruitt of Surfside, S.C.; one step daughter, Mrs. Debbie Lewkowicz of Spartanburg, S.C.; one brother. Jack Allen of Shelby; and five grandchildren. MRS. GAILEY Funeral services for Mrs. An nie Eulia Meadows Gailey, S8, of Route 6, Kings Mountain, were conducted Monday in Cor nelia, Ga. She died Saturday at Kings Mountain Hospital. She was the daughter of the late William and Landia Eulia Mote Webb and was employed as a cafeteria worker at Bethware Elementary School. Survivors include her hus band, Marvin Gailey of the home; four sons, Donnie For rester and Tommy Forrester of Atlanta, Ga., Ronnie Forrester of Carrollton, Ga., and Steve Forrester of Gainesville, Ga.; one daughter. Miss Marsha For rester of Gainesville, Ga.; three' sisters, Mrs. Dobbs Scott of Toc- coa, Ga., Mrs. H.D. Cooke of Rome, Ga., and Mrs. Curtis English of Demorist, Ga.; and two grandchildren. MRS. TATE Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Black Tate of Route 1, Grover, were conducted Sunday at Long Branch Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. B.F. Brewer. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Tate died Friday at Cleveland Memorial Hospital after an illness of nine years. She was a Cleveland County native and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Black. Survivors include one son, Emmett Lee Tate of Grover; a daughter. Miss Mary Tate of the home; a sister, Mrs. Rosie Har- tgrove of Grover; two grand children and three great grandchildren. FRANK BLACK Funeral services for Frank Black, 68, of 27 Bennett Drive, Kings Mountain, were con ducted Saturday at Masters Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tommy Coe and the Rev. Rosier Wilson. Burial was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Black died Thursday at Kings Mountain Hospital. He was a retired truck driver for Carolina Freight and the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kinston Black. Surviving are his wife, Magdalene Baity Black; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Vance of Newland; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Self of Shelby; two half sisters, Mrs. Stella Teague and Mrs. Pamela Franicos of Ruth; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
