t » 4 » 4 I m » 4 A ‘ f I • o Letter America Is In Trouble To th« oditor: Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except the Lord keep the city, the watchman walketh but in vain. Psalms 127:1. America is in trouble: Division from within, threatenings from without. Indecisiveness within leadership, discontent within the populance. Disenchantment, distrust, mistrust within officialdom; blind leading the blind. Except the Lord build the nation, thy labour is in vain; exceptthe Lord keepeth the nation, the watchman walketh but in vain. America is in trouble, deep trouble. American it its self-centeredness is losing its self-respect before the nations of the world. It is losing its self respect, character and its dependability of trust between each other from within the human heart. Hopefully this Christmas season will in some measure awaken Americans to the real purpose and the true meaning of this holiday season. America has so much to be grateful for, in that God has chosen this great republic as a light to reach into the darkness of despair of the human hearts. Pray ye, that you may be a true witness of his love and trust. Everette Pearson Kings Mountoin Heritage Deadline Extended The deadline for the book, “Heritage of Cleveland County" which the Cleveland County Historical AssociationAduseum is compiling on the families of Cleveland County is being ex tended ninety days, until April 1, 1982. The reason for extending the deadline is that approximate ly 300 of the 500 family histories needed for the book have been received. Persons who are presently writing or planning on writing an article are urged to continue to complete their histories as there is limited space. The museum is also seeking articles on local history for inclu sion in the Heritage Bmk. Infor mation on civic and social clubs, churches, schools, towns, places, legends, etc., is needed. For more information concer ning the Heritage Book, call the museum at 482-8186 or drop by and see a sample of the proposed book and reserve a place for your family and/br organization. Tbundoy.
