Dr. Winston Pearce, great- uncle of the bride, and Rev. John H. Knight, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, of- dciated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max C. West of 104 West Oakview Road, Asheville. She is a senior at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory and will graduate in May with a B.S. in Nursing. The groom,is and Mrs. DonaloD. Jones of Asheville. He is a graduate of Gardner-Webb College with a B.A. in Music. He is employed by Kings Mountain Baptist Church as Minister of Music and Youth. The bride was given in mar riage by her father and chose Miss Tami Ruckman of Asheville as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marsha Clark of Asheville, Susan Smith of Fallston, Md., Sondra Hucke of Spring, Tex., and Barbara Spellman of Rockville, Md. The groom’s father served as best man. Ushers were David Jones, brother of the groom, of Asheville; Mark West, brother of the bride, of Asheville; Lewis Miller, brother-in4aw of the groom, of Hudson, N.C.; and ^Tpmfl).y .Bridges, Jr. of Blacksburg, Va. BUREN BOLTON ...C«l«brat* SOth Annivwaary Buren Boltons Note Their SOth Anniversary 4^ 1^ Mr. and Mrs. Buren Bolton of Kings Mountain were honored with a reception in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday at the Kings Mountain Depot Center. Approximately 100 friends and relatives attend ed between 3 and 5 p.m. The Boltons were married on December 26, 1931, in Spartan burg, S.C. Mrs. Gladys Smith directed the reception. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Greene stood at the guest register, and Mrs. Haas Greene and Mrs. Gene White assisted in serving. The Boltons are parents of five children, including Lloyd Clayton Bolton of Kings Moun tain. Jim Bolton of Charlotte, Robert H. Bolton of Gastonia, Mrs. Judy Davis of Kings Moun tain and Mrs. Gail Hampton of Blacksburg, S.C. Pre-School Presents ‘At Manger’ Saint Matthew’s Lutheran Church Pre-School presented its annual Christmas program “At The Manger” Tues., Dec. 22 at the church. Mrs Smith’s three-year-olds served as “Little Angels” and sang “Away In A Manger” and “In A Tiny Manger.” Angels in cluded Adam Cheshire, Cameron Falls, Sloan Goforth, Trip Goforth, Chad Huffman, Nathan Mayes, Renee Moss, Angela Mullinax, Bobby Webster and Keith Wood Jr. Four-year-olds comprised the manger scene and sang “Jesus Our Brother Strong And Good”, “Hark The Herald Angels Sing”, “What Can I Give Jesus?” and “Joy To The World.” All the children sang “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” Donkeys were John Ryan Cheshire, Amber Jordan and Jamie Self. Cows were Dawn Davis, Lora Goins and Laura Beth Jackson. Sheep were Amy Dixon, Andrea Lombardi and Heidi Tyson. Doves were Buddy Huckabee and Gray Wooten. Angels were Libby Falls, Chari ty Moss and Shelley Leigh. Haley Bridges was Mary, Brandon Patterson was Joseph and Sidney Bridges was the In nkeeper. Shepherds included Joey Carter, Timmy Harrelson, Ken ny Bridges, Stephen Lemmons, Jonatha Lovelace and Chris McAbee. Wise men were An drew Phillips, Albert Perkins and Jason Trammell. Central Students Present Program Central School students presented the musical “Christmas Carols and Customs” Tues., Dec. 22 in the school auditorium. Taking part in the program were members of the school chorus and music lab students, directed by T.S. Berry. Sixth grade music lab students sang “Holly and Ivy” under the direction of student conductor Jean Van Dyke. Shan McAbee, Chris Grindstaff, LizAPetty, Daron Schenck and O’Kelley Smith played the autoharp and Melissa Rikard played finger cymbols. The group sang “Deck the Halls” under the direction of stu dent conductor Trade Martin. Barbara Short, Amy Robbs, Angel Smith, Tina Roper, Joe McClain and Thomas Dover played bells. The seventh grade music lab sang “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” under the direction of student conductor Darrin Mc Clain. Playing the auioharps were Tony Ruffin, Amy Stewart, Beverly Williams, Todd Humphries, Johnny Sisk and Beth Philbeck. The seventh graders also sang “Go Tell It On The Mountain” under the direction of student conductor Brian Horn. Tracey Hoiton, Barry Ross, Raynard Roberts, Julie Rosenboun, Rhonda Willis and Sean Ramsey played ukuleles. The Central Chorus sang “1 Saw Three Kings Come Riding In”, ’Gome Thou Long Awaited Savior” and “Billy’s Got A Drum For C'hristmas.” Chorus members included Loretta Webb, Zeppora Roberts, Sherri Lawson, Karen Hannah, Paula Nance, Tina Anderson, Sharon Greene, Tracey Woody, Cynthia Mayes, Suzanne Lee, Audra Barber, Gina Hale, Sunjai Hughes, Bobbie Byrd, Brian Black, Haydon Evans, Sherry Currence, Lisa Watson, Leslie Hunt, Crystal Willis, Minnett Jones, Amy Green, Shannon Jackson, Teresa Watkins, Suzanne Bolin, Regina Ross, Leslie Carrigan, Regina Brown, Michelle Byers, Rachelle Byers, Tonya Ballcw, Pam Burleson, Vanessa Pay sour. Dawn Wells, Shannon Slroupc, Shana Robin son, Renee Pressley, Tammy Adams, Tracey Martin, Melissa Wooten, Cristy Pruitt, Pam Thombs, Sciondra Robinson, Kelly Toney and Suzanne Sipe. Cathey Harry and Spencer Stephens were narrators.
