Missionary To Speak
At KM First Wesieyan
Larry Milstead, missionary of
The Wesleyan Church to Zam
bia, Africa, will speak at 7:00
p.m., Feb. 24, at the First
Wesleyan Church, 500 N. Pied
mont Ave., Kings Mountain.
A graduate of Central
Wesleyan College, Central,
South Carolina, University of
North Carolina-Charlotte, and
Appalachian State University,
Milstead holds the Bachelor of
Arts, Master of Arts and Educa
tion Specialist degrees.
Missionary Milstead’s first
team of service in Zambia began
in 1979, where he has been
engaged in teaching at Choma
Secondary School, served as
school pastor and been involved
in village outreach.
Milstead will share interesting
facts about the country, people
and progress of the work in Zam
bia.
The Wesleyan Church serves
in 34 countries, including
Canada, Great Britain and the
United States. While the major
emphasis in the overseas
outreach of the church is placed
on gospel evangelism, an exten
sive medical and educational
program has been carried on by

David Baptist Church will
sponsor a poor man’s supper
Sat., Feb. 20 from 5:30 until
7:30 p.m. Pinto beans, corn-
bread, potatoe salad, slaw, and
tea or coffee will be served for $2
for adults and $1 for children
under 12. Dessert will be extra.
Proceeds will go to the church

GOSPEL SING
Deliverance, a contemporary
Christian music gioup, will be in
concert Sat., Mar. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
at Bethware School. The singing
is being sponsored by the Chris
tian Singles Group of David Bap
tist Church. All sigle adults in
the area are invited to attend. A
love offering will be taken to
support “Deliverance.”
