Interested persons may register each weekday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Registration for all courses is on a first-come, fist-served basis. All class fees must be paid the first night of class. In the event of inclement weather where the school day program is cancelled, the Community Schools Pro grams will also be cancelled and made up at a later date. Anyone with questions or anyone interested in registering may call 739-2296. Classes available include: Beginning typing, Thursday, March 18 through May 20, from 6-9 p.m. for 10 weeks at room 103 at Kings Mountain High School. The fee is $11. The course is free for senior citizens. The class is open to persons ages 18 and over. Patricia Elliott will instruct. Self defense for women only, March 16 through May 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Central School. Steve Lazenby will instruct. The fee is $8 for ages 14-up and free for senior citizens. Bible study, March 16 through May 18 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at North School. The fee is $8 for ages 18-over and free for senior citizens. Jeannine Fisher will instruct. Old and New Testament study will be includ ed. Developing Positive At titudes, March 16 through May 18 from 3:30-4:30 pjn. at North School. The course is for persons in grades five through seven and is free. The class wiU consist of Schools From Pago 1-A $1,246,741 from the Cleveland County Commissioners. That figure represents a 15 percent in crease over the current budget. Supt. William Davis said much of the increase will go to cover automatic salary and benefit in creases for 22 locally-paid teachers and for operation and maintenance of facilities. Three locally paid aide positions will be eliminated. _ Davis said he anticipates revenues from local tax levies to increase because of expandedln- dustries.
