A Cleveland County native, he was the son of the late Hugh and Bessie Moss Williams and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed by Burlington In dustries and was a member, deacon and treasurer at New Camp Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Daves Williams; two sons, Mike Williams of Kings Mountain and David Williams of the U.S. Marines at Chery Point; one daughter, Mrs. Freda Tesseneer of Kings Mountain; two brothers, the Rev. James Williams and Floyd Williams, both of Kings Mountain; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Gladden of Rock Hill, S.C.; and two grand children. Funeral services were con ducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at New Camp Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Har ris and the Rev. George Leigh. Burial was in the church cemetery. GEORGE MOORE JR. George Oscar Moore Jr., 62, of Route 4, died Sunday at the V A Hospital in Oteen after an il lness of several weeks. A Landrum, S.C., native, he was the son of the late George Oscar Moore Sr. and Essie Deal Moore. He was a veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Byers Moore; three sons, Carl Moore and Danny Moore, both of Bessemer City, and William Moore of Kings Mountain; seven daughters, Mrs. June Roberts, Mrs. Wanda Smart, Mrs. Sharon Parker, Miss Sherry Moore, Mrs. Patricia Bar rett and Mrs. Diane Odom, all of Kings Mountain, and Miss San dra Kay Moore of Gastonia; two brothers, Oliver D. Moore and Bobby Moore, both of Kings Mountain; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Smith of Kings Mountain; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, where he was a member, by Dr. Tom Patterson. Burial was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. MRS. CROCKER CHESTER. S.C. - Thelma Wilkes Crocker died Saturday at her home. She is survived by two daughters, Jessie Mae Crocker of Gastonia and Cynthia Louise Crocker of Bessemer City; two grandchildren; two brothers, James Wilkes and Raymond Wilkes, both of Chester; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Lee Lowry, Mrs. Castell Strong and Mrs. Mary Floyd, all of Chester, and Mrs. Bessie Mae Bell of Kings Mountain. Funeral services will be con ducted Friday at 4 p.m. at Sandy River Baptist Church in Shelby by the Rev. J.R. McClurkin. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at King Funeral Home in Shelby. A.L HUFTSTETLER BESSEMER CITY - Alfred Lewis Huffstetlcr, 58, of 301 East Georgia Avenue, died Sun day. A native of Cleveland Coun ty, he was the son of the late Samuel Hunter and Bertha Moss Huffstetler. He was employed by Osage Mill. Surviving are his wife, Donna Vee McIntyre Huffstetler; one son, Richard Huffstetler of Bessemer City; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Effie Mae) Boyd of Gastonia and Mrs. William (Marjorie) Turner of Smyrna, S.C.. Funeral services were con ducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Penley’s Chapel Church by the Rev. Leonard Huffstetler and the Rev. Johnny Gantt. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. EWELL TATE Ewell S. Tate, 66, of 203 North Sims Street, died Friday at 1:45 a.m. at Charlotte Memorial Hospital. A Rutherford County native, he was the son of Mrs. Fannie Ward Tate of C:harlotte and the late R(v Tate. He was a retired machinist and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where funeral services were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. James Williams. Burial was in Moun tain Rest Cemetery. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Mildred Pace Tate of the home; two sons, Donald Eugene Tate of Gastonia and Robert Timothy Tate of Kings Mountain; one brother, Robert Tate of Gastonia; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Vera) Wilson of Forest City and Mrs. Morris (Frances) Byers of Drexel. lOF UNCOLHTON - Joe Sisk, 69, of Route 1, died Friday at a Lin- colnton hospital. A Rutherford County native, he was the son of the late William and Nannie Shehan Sisk. He is survived by his wife, Ef- fie Crawley Sisk; three sons, Norman Sisk of the home, and Leon and Ronnie Sisk, both of Lincolnton; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Graham and Mrs. Betty Morgan, both of Forest Ci ty, and Mrs. Cecelia Woods of Lincolnton; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Hollifield and Mrs. Lillie Mae Conner, both of Kings Mountain, and Mrs. Mary Sue Metcalf of Spindale; 14 grand children and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Warlick Funr^ Home Chapel. Burial was in High Shoals Cemetery. DELIA DELLINGER LINCOLNTON - Mrs. DeUa Russ Dellinger, 83, of Route 6, died Wednesay in a Lincolnotn hospital. A native of Cleveland Coun ty, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus R. and Amanda Evans Russ. Her husband was the late David Jackson Dell inger. She was a member of Capp’s Memorial Missionary Methodist Church in Cherryville, where funeral services were conducted Friday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. H5. Scru^ and the Rev. Clarence Williams. Burial was in Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are two sons. Aired Dellinger of Cherryville and the Rev.
