second time in 10 day* that Fran
cis was fined on this offense.
The police who arrested him
stated that Fraud* stood on the
street corner and shouted, “Keep
Britain White, Throw the Blacks
Out.” There were a number of
colored people about and they a
dopted a threatening attitude He
said he had to arrest Francis for
his own safety.
Francis, who told the magistrate
he had been fined $14.00 the pre
vious! week for a . similar offense,
said that, one of the colored men
insulted him This the magistrate
