THE COACH OF THE WEEK
Head Coach Clifton Junior Anderson is a
native of Cape May, New Jersey. He received
the B. S. degree at Indiana University in 1952
and he has pursued further graduate study
at Temple University of Pennsylvania.
During his college career, Coach Ander
son established new shot-put and discus re
cords as captain of the track team. He also set
a Big Ten pass receiving record, being consid
ered one of the All-Time Great Pass receivers
at Indiana. His honors include football All-
American mention and first team All-Ameri
can in track.
He has played professional football with
the Chicago Cardinals and the New York Gi
ants; he played in only seven games and
caught 16 passes for 258 yards.
He also served as Athletic Director of the
Y. M, C. A at Camden, New Jersey before as
suming his present position.
