Christmas Spirit At Shaw Is
Expressed As Story Unfolded
The Christinas Spirit at Shaw
University was expressed in the
true sense as the Christmas Story
was unfolded in words and music
on Sat., Dec. 17, in Greenleaf Au
ditorium. The birth of Christ and
the coming of the Wisemen. alone
with all the incidents of the event
were realisticaly portrayed.
Especially unique and awe
Inspiring was the star which
was made to actually move a
bove the heads of the Wisemen
as they approached the manger
and the star stopped over the
eradle of the newborn Christ.
Miss Elizabeth Revelle of Ahosk
ie represented “The Christmas Tree
Angel”, and hovered over the tree
in the true fashion of an Angel
from t’'e skies. Another clever and
unusual scene of the performance
was the large Musical Christmaj
Card with holes at the top for each
member of the quartet to peep
through as they sang “Noel" The
Women’s choral ensemble of Shaw

the season.
The program was continued at
Spaulding Gymnasium which feat
ured the following highlights: A
community singing, Christmas
Greetings by Dr. William R. Strass
ner, president of the University,
greetings from Albert Sampson,
president of the student council, a
musical, featuring the flutophones,
