ACTIVITIES OF GRADE 6-3 Planning lor a class maga zine is the major activity In our language class. First we selected members for the fol- FA YFTTEVILI FMiWf jPICTURfSAnwBmrec lowing groups: Managers Com mittee, Art Committee, Editors Committee. The Managers Committee is in charge of doing the planning. The editors com mittee is to choose the best materials and to edit (criticize and correct) all "copy.” The art committee is to choose or prepare illustrations or comic strips. We hope to finish by March 15. In our social studies class we are studying modern and ancient China. We divided into three groups to make a tho rough study of it, namely, North China, South China, Western China and Formosa. Some important facts about ancient China were the Great Wall which was built for pro tection. It stretches 1500 miles across China. We are also securing inform ation on the size of China. Some books says that China is the second largest country and some say the third. We have found out that China is the third largest country In the world. It holds about l/5 of A.sia and 1/15 of the world. Grade 6-3 reporters: Floyd Crouch and Harold Wardlaw. Promoting Self-Discipline Through Bulletin Board In terest. Feb. 3rd - Every one tried to learn something worth while. The room was quiet while working out evalu ations. William Roberts re cited without being told. He read the lesson without being asked. Donnell Graham con tributed to the discussion. Feb. 4th - Donnell Graham was “Be longing.” He decided to get on a committee to help fix the bulletin board. Feb. 7th - Those who were not trying to belong have taken a new In terest. 3. “BELONG”: LEARN, THINK, RELATE AND DO.
