Doar of New Y’ork City and Doctor Von Mizell of Fort Laud erdale, Florida. In addition to his newly-elected position, Mr. Moore is a member of the American Association of University of College Profes sors, the newly integrated Flor ida Education - Florida State Teachers Association and the American Legion. C.—The Negro employment-unemploy ment picture shows slov but steady improvement with the seasonal fluctuations affecting the general labor force. Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics notes that Two Business Executives, Educator, New Shaw Trustees Two business executives and an educator were elected to fill vacancies on the Board of Trustees at Shaw University. The announcement of the new trustees was made by Asa T. Spaulding, chairman of the Board, following the annual meeting here on the Shaw cam pus. Dr. Asa T. Spaulding, chair man of the Board of Trustees, announced the election of Dr. Stephen J. Wright, who recently i esigned the presidency at Fisk University; Dr. John J. Theo bald, President of the Educa tional Science Division of U. S. Industries, Inc.; and R. Pey ton Woodson, 111, chairman of the Board and chief executive officer of Occidental Life In surance Company of North Car olina, to vacancies on Shaw’s governing body. Dr. Wright, who has been president ai Fisk University since 1937, leaves that post on June 30 to become president of the United Negro College Fund. A graduate of Hampton Insti tute, Howard University and New York University, where he received the B. S., M. A. and Ph. D. degrees respectively, Dr. Wright has served as a faculty member and officer of six southern colleges and uni versities. Recipient of honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the Uni versity of Notre Dame (1964) and Morgan State College (19- 65), he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa by Pomona College In 1965. Dr. Theobald, a former pres ident of Queens College, receiv ed his A. 8., B. S., C. E., and Ph. D. degrees from Col umbia University. The holder of seven honorary degrees, Dr. Theobald was superintendent of schools of the Cit y of New York from 1958 to 1962. Prior to that he was deputy mayor of the City of New York for two years. NO GOOD NEW YORK - Civil rights leaders have expressed disap proval of Mayor John Lindsay’s plan for a civilian review to investigate complaints against policemen. The plan calls for a review board with four civi lians appointed by the mayor and three members of the police force. According to the NAA CP’s Atty. Robert L.
