* THE CAROLINIAN RALEIOH, N. C.. SATURDAY. DECEMBER 24, 1966 2 Bronze Age: but when this race appear ed. it brought the sword and brought color prejudice, both of which are threat ening disaster and doom to humankind. This white race also brought to this weary world the art of atom war. When Jesus arrives for the “Christmas Party” he will find a world seouraged in its heart with a venomous and vicious race prejudice that takes precedence of every other consideration. Greeks, of former ages argued that there was a Highest Good, and Jesus died to exemplify a life of the Highest Good: but in the Twen tieth Century world, with its white rul ers. the white skin with its color preju dice is the “highest good.” The oppres sions and evils that have gone along with this distorted not : on of what is the high est good, has filled the color victims with a resentment that is as deep as race prej udice itself: and so the world’s great Christmas Party will be marred by the fact that race prejudice has Christ crowded out on the one hand, and bitter resentment has him crowded out on the SWEEPSTAKES (Continued Jiom pa*e li presentation. Races and peoples who spend 51 weeks of the year with bitter resentments cannot clear up and clear out their hearts just for one week called Christmas. Resentments of 51 weeks will be carried just as prejudice of 364 days will be carried over into Christmas, and thus the Savior is crowd ed out .There is no room for Christ in the inns of human hearts, and there’s the greatest pity .The message of Christmas will be carried by men with prejudiced hearts and resentful hearts, and must be listened to by millions with prejudiced and resentful hearts. And so without Christ, there will be no Christmas. “Be hold I stand at the door and knock,” says the crowded out Christ of Bethle hem. The same pathetic story after 2000 years! The writer left her in a hap py mood and wished for her a very, very happy Christmas. FORGERY (Continued Horn page 1) Bell checked out of the Down towner Motel on Nov. 21, after paying a bill of $31.80. It is believed that he secured the Information needed and return to the base of operations. The bogus checks were very craft ily printed. Most of the checks bore November dates. The officers found $57,000 worth of forged bank money or ders. The checks were made out in sums as high as $2,000 and it was one of that denomi nation that drew suspicion. The trio ilso was found to have had identification cards o r the persons to whom the checks w ere mad" out and in this way were able to get the checks cashed. Local officers called one of the persons, in Balti more, and found that lie had lost his wallet, containing his card to a "mugger” sometime this fall. Among the checks recovered were several which bore the name of Armoce Steel Company aud were alleged to have been given to persons w'iio worked for that company. The entire operation shows that it was the work of master minds. Lo cal officers are ai a loss to de termine why they came back to Raleigh to cash the checks, in view of the fact they bore all the earmarks that they had been issued by the agents of the banks. Such checks are ac cepted on their face value and there is never any question as to their issuance or worth.
