Willi Moves To improve Conditions WASHINGTON - Secretary of Labor Willard Wlrtz has taken three steps to protect young people against hazardous employment and to Increase job opportunities for them. The actions include* --In response to 1966 a mendments to the Fair Labor Standards Act, identification of those occupations which are particularly hazardous to youth working in agriculture. This Interim order will become ef fective on January 1, 1968. --Certain modifications in Hazardous Occupations Orders Number 2 and 7 concerning helpers on motor vehicles, motor vehicle drivers and ele vator operators. These changes will become effective immedi ately. —Revision of Child Labor Regulation No. 3 to allow 14- and 15 year-olds to work until 9 p.m. between next June 1 and Labor Day. The previous time limit for these young workers was 7 p.m. In addition, youth between 54 and 16 will be allowed to participate in work-training programs during school hours under certain conditions con sistent with the benefits of the Economic Opportunity Act. Bernard, Lewis, and Bobby are in the Army, with Bernard stationed in Germany, and Lewis and Bobby at Ft. Bragg. Nathan and Ve lenzo serve with the Air Force, Nathan to Texas and Velerizo in Colorado.
