Sartsom, Jr. of Raleigh, announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Berl Vivian Sansom, to Mr. A1 Tony Gilmore of Youngs town, Ohio. Beryl is a 1967 graduate of Hampton Institute and a 1970 graduate of NCCU School of Law. Mr. Gilmore is presently a doctorial candidate at the University of Toledo, having done his undergraduate and graduate work in History at NCCU. An August 29th wedding is planned. Davis Hamilton of Raleigh's west South Street, tendered her resignation last May during the annual alumni meetings on St. Aug.’s campus. The resigna tion became effective on July Ist. Mrs. Hamilton who served St. Aug.'s National Alumni in above capacity since 1957 was asked several times by Presi dent Holden, to withdraw her resignation. However Mrs. Hamilton, who retired from her profession recently, repeatedly mond, Va., Baltimore, and Ni geria, West Africa. YMCA News The Bloodworth Street Y'MCA Boys Day Camp Members, Counselors, and friends enjoy ed a day at the Kure Beach near Wilmington on Friday. Travel ing by chartered bus, the party of around fifty visited the major scenic attractions along the sea coast including the Battleship North Carolina, the Wilming ton Recreational Prak and the Zyoological Park housing 130 different species of wild and do mesticated animals in natural settings. Recreational features es pecially enjoyed at the teach included surf fishing for spots and riding the white crested waves on the unusally clean sandy shores. Mrs. Deloris Reavis of the Ligon High faculty, a mem ber of the party, conducted a discussion on the most im portant features of the trip es pecially the visit to the Battle ship North Carolina, which played an important role in win ning the war over Japan in 1945. The YMCA is now conducting its annual Membership enroll ment.
