day, November 9, at the First

officiated at the double-ring
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Luth
er Wilson of Selma, and the
bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Hueddie Arrington
Sr. of St. Louis, Mo.
The bridal couple met at the
altar. The bride wore a short
length dress of candlelight
crepe fashioned in the em
pire manner. The design fea
tured a high Voctorian neck
line, long full sleeves, and vel
vet trim at the waistline. She
carried a white Bible topped
with a white orchid and stream
ers with love knots.
Mrs. Carmen de Souza of
Rochester, N. Y., attended as
matron of honor. She was at
tired in a short-length dress of
hot pink styled with an empire
waistiine. She neid a single
long-stemmed pink chrysanthe
mum.
Honorary bridesmaids were

Kinney of Rochester.
Simon De Souza of Rochestei
was best man.
The bride is a 1965 graduate
of Richard B. Harrison High
School and received a B. A. de
gree in elementary education
from Saint Augustine’s College
in Raleigh. Since 1969, she has
been an instructor in the Center
of Innovation for Education at
Brockport State University.
The bridegroom is a graduate
of Robert A. Taft High School
in Cincinnati, Ohio, and at
tended Saint Augustine’s Col
lege and Lincoln University in
Jefferson City, Mo., prior tohis
induction into the U. S. Navy.
The couple will reside in
Charleston, S. C.

mony, Mr. and Mrs. Simon De
Souza entertained the newly
weds, faculty members, and

Garden Lane in Rochester.
On November 3, members of
the University faculty honored
Miss Wilson and Mr. Arrington
witn a luncheon and linen
shower in the school cafeteria.
The couple-elect was also en
tertained with a miscellaneous
shower given by Misses Jeanne
Lokar and Lonnie Tyler at their
home in Rochester.

school faculty. Those present

The parents of the Moon Dolls
were featured during the Ball
and were escorted off the floor
by their daughters’ astroanuts.
The Golden Holiday, Ball
chairman, Soror Mary W. Pee
bles, walked diligently with the
Moon Dolls and Astronauts until
the finish. By her side in all
the activities was the co-chair
man, Soror Primrose Jackson.
All Sorors helped to see that the
Moon Dolls and their Astronauts
Moon Walk were successful,
pleasant and happy ones.

in his role as Master of Cere
monies.
