Robert P John son, executive of New York City Presbytery and a mem ber of the Commission, de scribed the employment pro visions as “a tremendous step" and as one of the strongest ac ions ever undertaken to ward equal employment op portunity in the church. The Commission, which earlier had voted that the headuarters of the Genera! Assembly agencies should be in a single location, received initial data from studies on where that location should be. It is expected that the Com mission will begin discussions in February on the subject of when and over what, time span a transfer to a single lo cation should be made. Con siderable study must be made before a timetable on moving can be es'ablished, the Com mission said. Proposa’s for the initial in ternal design of the new Vo cation Agency were presented e.t the Commission's meeting just concluded here, and gen eral principles of that agen cy's structure were accepted As proposed, the agency In cludes departments of Per sonnel Development. The Council on Theological Education was given approval to propose changing its name —to the Council of Theologi cal Seminaries—and its inter nal structure, to the 184th General Assembly 11972). If approved by that Assembly the changes would become ef fective well in advance of the January 1, '73 target date for all new General Assembly a gencies to begin functioning. A committee dealing with the proposed Advisory Coun cil on Spiritual Life was giv en permission to hold small consultations before formu lating specific descriptions of the council. Studies and consultations involving several ether com mittees and task forces were authorized. The Commission expects to meet its schedule for making its major recommendations on reorganization to the 184th General Assembly, which meets in Denver, Colorado on next May. Meditation "Cas; thy burden upon the Lord." Psalms 55:22. Are you one of those per sons who often feels weighted down by the thought, of work that has piled up, by corre spondence that lies unanswer ed, by ‘important things" yet undone, by questions in youi mind that need to be thought through? Nearly everyone of us at sometime or another finds himself in such a burdened state of mind. Os course, we cannot ignore these responsi bilities. But. it is possible to take an attitude that will free cur minds and lighten them as completely as though we were without all these responsibili ties. First, we must take a fresh start in our minds Through prayer, we can turn over to God for the time being all re sponsibilities that have seem ed to overwhelm us. Thet with renewed faith in the power and presence of our Father, we can begin all over again, accepting only one thing at a time to do. Free and relaxed in prayer, with a new feeling of close ness to God. our minds and hearts are freed of worry, an xiety, and tension. And, when you really analyze it, it is worry and tension that create all our real burdens—-not the things to be done. In the deep spiritual quiet ness of your soul, you will al ways find the strength and wisdom needed to meet any situation that may arise. No matter what the turmoil and confusion about us. In this infinite stillness of God in your heart, you can find rest and peace Jesus said that we must have faith in God if we would overcome our difficulties . . . but a" all requirements need ed for such faith, first and foremost is the need of a quiet mind, free of all doubt, ten sion and worry. "Teach me thy way, O Je hovah, and lead me in a plain path." Psalms 27:11 * * * In addition to' the risk of sustaining a hearing loss, an employes exposed to exces sively loud on-th-job noise also is likely to be more accident prone, to display job dissatis faction and to produce poor workmanship, according to the Beltone Crusade for Hearing Conservation.
