DKAK SALLY: 1 attended an
enteriuinmunt at school vester-
day. and now I know why my
ehddrcn are always coming
lioine with colds. At least a
hall dozen kids in that room
should have been at home. 1 was
shocked to see so many running
eye- und noses • the coughing,
sneezing, und blowing. Too
many mothers force their
hail sick kids to go to school
liet ause they don't want to be
bothered with them I think this
is dreadfully inconsiderate of
die other children. Don’t you
.igree with me? BURNED UP.
DKAK BURNED: I do
indeed! Too many irresponsible
moibers fail to keep their sick
kids at home where they belong,
it s up to the teacher to spot
liiese ailing voungsters and
send them to the school nurse.
Mho should then decide whether
d.(‘y sliould stay in school or be
.sliipped home.
formerly arrived home no later
than 5:00 • but now if he arrives
before 6:30 it's a big surprise.
Our children have afw'ays been
used to eating between 5:30 und
6:00, and not only is it a job
keeping the dinner warm, but
it’s nerve-wracking holding the
kids down When I complained
to him. he said a man has to
have some outside activities
and that I should consider
myself lucky he isn't doing
other things. Maybe so, but still
and all I am annoyed. What's
the answer? CAROM SHOT
DEAR CAROM: Tell the pool
shark that dinner will be placed
on the table no later than 6:00
and that you and the children
will begin eating then whether
he has arrived or not. This will
give him at least an hour for his
newfound "outside activity”
without putting so much incon
venience on his famiiv.
