The first step in tapping our inner strength is to realize it is there. It’s useless if we don’t know it is there. The inner strength will never fail to comply with any and all demands we put upon it. Important decisions will have to be made. Your inner strength exists. It is up to you to call upon it in difficult situations. Doug Hooper Consider well what your strength is equal to, and what exceeds your ability. Horace PATIENCE AND TOLERANCE Patience and tolerance are qualities which most of us need in everyday life. Patience is mainly an attitude of mind. Our patience and tolerance benefit us equally as much as others, for the expression of these qualities keeps us on an even keel, in tune with the flow of life. Martha Smock PATIENCE Patieqce and the mulberry leaf becomes a silk robe. Chinese Proverb TOLERANCE Toleration is good for all or it is good for none. Edmund Burke SURRENDER By surrendering our wills to the higher, we gain control and mastery over the lower. Anonymous BEING RIGHT Bear in mind that everybody has some faults and that, surprisingly enough, includes you and me. You are always right when you are kind to another person. You are always right when you are courteous. Ask questions before you sound off. Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see—if it is something wroing about somebody else. Jarmen Moxey JUDGMENT Do not condemn the judgment of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong. Dandemie THE MIND The human mind should be like a good hotel; open the year round. William Phelps Some mounds are like concrete: mixed up and permanently set. Rev. Ralph Sanders It is pretty difficult to keep your rniiid and your mouth open at the same time. Anonymous HAPPINESS Happiness is someone to love, something to do and something to hope for. Chinese proverb We must be doing something to be happy. Action is not less necessdry to us than thought. William Hazlitt CHEERFULNESS He who remains cheerful in spirit and sees only the good side of all things, who never allows himself to be spiritually downcast but keeps his head high and courage in his heart, he sets in motion those fine still powers which make every step through life easier for him. Ralph Trine THE HEART Hardening of the heart ages more people than hardening of the arteries. Anonymous In sailing o’er life’s ocean wide, your heart should be your only guide, with summer sea and favoring wind, yourself in port you’ll surely find. W. Gilber THE EASY WAY Whatever you need to do, no matter how difficult or demanding or challenging, you can do it—easily. You have wisdom, strength, poise, assurance—anything you need. Be still in the midst of any mountain shaking experience or any roaring fear. Listen for your guidance and when it comes, which it will, follow it. Greater good will come into your life. Mary Kupferte SURE THING Let a man try faithfully, manfully to be right, he will daily grow more and more right. It is at the bottom of the condition on which all men have to cultivate themselves.
