Children Around the World
Are United in Love
This Christmas will be a
special time for a lot of special
children.
In a mission in Bangladesh,
kids will be receiving vitamin
supplements and spending
time in the first real home
they have ever had. In Brazil,
a group of ten- and eleven
year olds will be getting their
first opportunity to attend
school. And in Ethiopia, mal
nourished infants are receiv
ing life-giving supplements.
The list goes on.
Who’s making all this pos
sible? It’s a group of young
kids in the United States who
know that Christmas is a time
of love. Through HCA: Young
Catholics in Mission, a pro
gram of mission awareness and
global education, elementary
school children are learning
about their world neighbors.
At Christmas and throughout
the year, they make the world
just a little bit brighter for
kids in need.
Founded as the Holy Child
hood Association in 1843,
HCA funds thousands of chil
dren’s projects in more than
one hundred developing coun
tries. HCA allocations are
made without regard to race,
national origin or religious
preference.
The goal is a simple one:
to give to children who need
it most.
The task is a difficult one,
but HCA members—children
ages five to fourteen—are
doing their part to make
Christmas real for everyone—
and to make it last all year
long.

great job. But they can’t do it
