Hall was held recently at St.
Augustine’s College. The new
women’s residence was named in
honor of the Rev. Dr. M. Moran
Weston, an alumnus and chairman of
the Academic Policies Committee,
Board of Trustees.
The occasion and special remarks
were given by Dr. Presell R.
Robinson, president of the college.
Greetings were brought on behalf of •
the student government association,
and were followed by a reflection of
the Weston family from generation to
generation; a moving account of four
generations of ties to St. Augustine’s
College, beginning with Dr. Weston’s
mother and father.
The family prayer was delivered by
the Rev. Cannon Kwasi Thorneli,
National Episcopal Cathedral,
Washington, D.C., second cousin to

of Weston Hall were an integral part
of the ceremony.
' Dr. Weston’s grandfather, also a
prest, started the legacy which
includes their mother, father, aunts,
uncles, and cousins. William
Augustine Perry, class of 1902, a
cousin, penned the College Hymn and
Blue and White. The Rev. Dr. Noran
Weston was the first graduate of St.
Augustine’s to become chairman of
the board.
The Weston family continues to
pass the baton as they uplift the lives
of people, and their wisdom, caring
