Mrs. Ben Fulcher and Mrs. Cris Gaskill returned Saturday from a trip to the mainland. Bus schedule from Beaufort to Atlantic has been improved for Ocracokers, since now there is a i bus daily leaving Beaufort at 11:30 which connects at Atlantic with ! the mailboat for Ocracoke at 1 p.m. On Saturday, March Ist, mem bers of the Junior Sunday School Class of the Methodist Church, will sponsor a Boston baked bean and ham supper to raise money toward the purchase of a gas heater for their Sunday School room. Mrs. Z. S. Williams is visiting her son, Lt. S. R. Williams in Nor folk, Va. Lt. Williams has recently returned from Korea where he spent a year and a half. He was hospitalized in Japan, before re turning to the states and is now at Camp Pickett awaiting transfer ment to a base hospital in Norfolk. Mrs. J. F. Mr. Quidley’s health is im proved, but he is still confined to his bed. Ralph and Allen Beasley left Sunday for Norfolk from where they will sail as part of the crew on a Merchant Marine ship bound for Denmark. Ernest Williams celebrated his fourteenth birthday February 25. Miss Anna Bengtson of Chicago has been visiting her niece, Mrs. Troy Beasley.
