HATTERAS BUS SUSPENDED SERVICE UNTIL APRIL 1 In response to numerous in quiries we have received, we offer the following information: After nearly 20 years of Con stant, faithful service, the Hat-' teras bus line suspended service on October 1 and will not return on schedule until April 1, Stock ton Midgett announced this week. The building of a road to Hat teras has enabled just about every one who travels to own an auto mobile, and travel 'being light in winter, operation of a bus is not profitable. The bus has been leaving Hat teras each morning for Manteo, returning in the afternoon. The Midgett Brothers, Harold, Anderson and Stockton have won high praise for the faithful and efficient manner in which the bus was operated and served the public through the many years when there were no roads, and despite weather. But praise and appreciation is not all that is required to run a bus line. REBEKAH THANKSGIVING The annual Thanksgiving dinner of Manteo Rebekah Lodge was held Monday evening at Fearing's Case.
