PAGE TWO MISS SHIMER, OF HAYMAN CLAN CHOSEN DEBUTANTE Visitors to the Hayman re-union at Manns Harbor, this week were interested to learn that among the 180 debutantes chosen for the event in Raleigh on September 9th is Miss Jean Hayman Shimer of Ra leigh, the daughter of Col. and Mrs. Clai-ence Shimer, USA. Miss Shinier’s grandparents are Mrs. Eugenia Hayman Shimer and tlie late Chas. R. Shimer of Roanoke Island and Kinston. Her great grandparents of Roanoke Island were the late Capt. Jeff D. r.nd Lizzie Daniels Hayman. Her fa ther was one of four brothers, bcrn on Roanoke Island. She is being en tertained with the debutantes at a dance in the Tar Heel Club in Raleigh.
