TO THE VOTERS OF HYDE COUNTY:
As a candidate for the Hyde County Board of Commis
sioners I wish to submit the following platform—
1. Unite the entire county—forgetting past differences
and move forward with other ’progressive counties of
the State.
2. Strive to bring industry info the county to encourage
youth to remain in Hyde.
3. Work in conjuction with the school board. Advocating
high schools at Swan Quarter, Engelhard and Ocracoke
until such time the voters of Hyde County desire dif
ferently. I am also in favor of appropriating money to
match allocated Federal Funds to improve the science,
language and math departments of our schools.
4. Revaluate taxes as the property is progressively im
proved.
5. Discuss unbiasedly any action to be made and pass de
cisions as quickly as feasible.
6. Inform the taxpayers of Hyde of business transactions
made by the board.
If these issues meet your approval and you wish to see
them become a reality your vote is earnestly solicited in
the Nov. Bth general election.
