C. G. HOLLAND Fisheries Commissioner T-4-25-4tc BF • Or Ji I - ,! -i % JjJB • MS Vote For W. STANFORD WHITE ,-i For County Commissioner * Dear Friends: t We will try in this short letter to acquaint you with a man we consider to be one of the best qualified men in Dare to rep resent Croatan Township and all of Dare County on the Board of Commissioners. Mr. White is 50 years old, married and has a fine family. He and his wife have three boys, one of whom graduates from Manteo High School this year and will attend college in the fall. «- « He is a member of the Meihodist Church at Manns Harbor, taught a Sunday School class for 12 years, and has served as lay speaker on several occasions. He is a member of Manteo Rotary Club, is a Mason, and is on the Board of Directors of The Bank of Manteo. He has served as Chairman of the Dare County Welfare Board. \ . : fl| Mr. White was instrumental, with the help of friends, in se curing a community building for Manns Harbor. He organized the Ruritan Club at Manns Harbor, and served as its president for three different terms. Out of this club, other clubs have grown which are now serving Dare County. > x I ♦ He gave of his time and money in the long, hard fight for the two fine bridges that we now enjoy. He was a strong supporter of the Southern Albemarle Association, < and served as vice president on two different occasions. He now owns and operates the largest business of its kind on the mainland of Dare County. This business was built from • scratch by the teamwork of his wife and his business ability. He built and operated the only ice plant on the m a i n I a n d of Dare County. It served the people of that area at a time when ice was not available to them. He has served the people of his area well and capably. He is a man any of us would trust to manage our business. We feel I he is capable of helping to manage the business of Dare Coun- I ty, which is now a big and important business. A vote for W. Stanford White is a vote for progress, econ omy and honesty in serving all people and ail sections of Dare County. (This letter was prepared and written by the friends and supporters of W. Stanford White.) PAGE SEVEN
