FVee time was spent indulging in ping-pong, bridge games, tennis and socializing. Also at Wildacres for the weekend were members of the Blumenthal mishpochah for their annual family reunion. Devorah Hadassah guests were included in many of their ac tivities and are sincerely grateful for the kindness and generosity of the Blumenthals. The unqualified success of Chai-Up is evident. Twenty six reservations have already been made for next year. PARENT’S SIGNATURE DATE Registration Continues For Adult Classes at JCC October begins a busy fall session of adult classes. Over 40 classes offer something for all. Many old favorites such as Aerobics, Beginner and Intermediate Bridge, Calligraphy, Cake Decorating, Exercise and Slimnastics, Kitchen Wizar dry, CPU, Beginner and Intermediate Yoga, and Painting are offered. Many of these classes are scheduled for morning or evenings for your convenience. Excitihg classes such as Improvisational Theater, Ceramics, A Graphic — What Is It?, Ballet, The Kosher Gourmet, Popular l^ano. How to live in Our Inflationary 'Hmes, IVavel I’ips, Know Your Camera, Modern Dance, Dis cover Charlotte, Wines and Wine Tasting, Critical Choices for the 1980 Elections, Aging as a Family Issue, Adult Creative Sewing, and Flower Arranging are new additions to the fall schedule. Many of these classes are also being offered both in the mornings and at night. Now that your children are in school and you’ve established your schedules for the fall — fill in your free time by taking ad vantage of some of the classes at the “J”. Old Salem Trip On Tuesday, November 4, the Jewish Community Center will sponsor a parent-child trip to Old Salem in Winston-Salem, N.C. A car caravan will form at the JCC at 9 a.m. A costumed guide will meet the group upon arrival and will lead the tour of Old Salem. After the tour a picnic lunch will be en joyed. There will then be time to browse or shop on your own before leaving at 3:30 p.m. for home. Arrival at the “J” should be at 5:30 p.m. All that is needed for an excit ing day are cars full of parents, children, and 'a picnic lunch (drinks will be available). Reser vations must be in by October 24; call the “J” office, 366-0357. Fee: Adults — $5.00; Children 6-14 — $2.50; Children 5 & under — no charge.
