THE NEWS-Auiugt 1981-Page 9 AMive Serious consideration is being given to starting a new Alive I class, commencing Fall of 1981. The Alive series, sponsored by Charlotte B’nai B*rith Women and Jewish Community Center in con junction with UNCC, has become a very meaningful course over the last several yrars in the lives of many people in the community. For those new to Charlotte, or those who were unable to take advantage of this offering in past years, now is the time to learn more about yourself and your relationship to others. Alive 1 is a self-awareness, self development course that covers such topics as assertiveness train ing, values clarification, body language, changing sex roles and active listening. It offers an oppor tunity to share thoughts while mak ing new friends. One exciting aspect of the series has been the high caliber of people, professionals prominent in the community and in. their own field of specialization, who have led the various classes. Alive I is a one-year course of fering three graduate, undergraduate or teacher renewal credits given through UNCC. In order to meet your needs and avail yourself of this course, a great deal of advance planning must be made. Therefore, it is vital to get an early commitment from those who wish to participate. Class size must be limited. Alive 1 is open to both men and women. Babysitting is available on request. If you wish to become a part of this new Alive I series, please call Bette Jaffe, 542-2041, now.
