It was more than a District
8 Spring Retreat and Board
Meeting, it was an adventure.
Seventy-two women, repre
senting sisterhoods from four
states and the District of Col
umbia, met in Charlotte for a
weekend of sharing a wide
range of ideas, materials and
personal development in Sis
terhood — the backbone of
many congregations.
The convention, held at the
Adam’s Mark Hotel, was
hosted by Beth El V'Shalom
Sisterho^. It was successful
mainly because of Honey

dent everywhere — in work
shops, relaxed conversations
in the hospitality suite, at
Consolidated High
School News
Seven Consolidated High
School students have been
placed on the Honor Roll for
the second time. They are:
Jason Katz (8th grade); Brian
Exelbierd, Dan Hirschman,
Heath Prior and Seth Stein
(9th grade); David Brenner
and l^an Lucas (10th grade).
These students all received a
free movie pass for their ef
forts. Those students who are
placed on the Honor Roll all
three sessions will be given a
free ticket to Carowinds.

tions. Beth Freiburg, a Bat
Mitzvah, said the kiddish.
Mayor Pro Tem A1 Rousso
presented a key to the city to

District 8, NFTS. The Oneg
was cosponsored by the
Freiburgs and TBEVS Sister
hood.
At the Havdalah Service
and banquet, each congrega
tion shared their history and
visions and everyone left with
a deep sense of esprit de corps
£md unity to sisterhood.
