Israel to Give Palestinians Housing The Israeli government has approved plans to relocate Pa lestinians from refugee camps into new buildings in the Gaza Strip. The plan calls for the construction of two new neigh borhoods, housing approxi mately 80 families from the Jabalya camp and a similar number from the Shatti camp. The families will also receive a lump sum of a few thousand shekels from the government. The Civil Administration will prepare infrastructure for the new development. Since 1971, Israeli attempts to move the refugees out of the camps have met with opposition from the Arab states. Each year, they have pushed the adoption of a UN resolution demanding that Israel desist from the re moval of Palestinian refugees from camps in Gaza and the West Bank. Efforts to increase employ ment opportunities and develop the economy also continue in the West Bank, where the head of the Civil Administration has granted 31 permits for the estab lishment of factories. These include plants for construction goods, raw materials, textiles and pharmaceuticals. a "Rnaaaement Page 25-THE NEWS-August 1991 Trade and Andrew Goldstein Goldstein-Lewis Tracie Rae Lewis and Andrew Michael Goldstein were married May 25 at the Guest Quarters Suite Hotel.
