Serving as a Mental Health Soeial Worker with the De partment of Veterans Affairs in the states of NC, GA, and MS, Linda provided eounsel ing for veterans experieneing a myriad of mental health eon- eems ineluding depression, anxiety, Post-Traumatie Stress Disorder (PTSD), abuse, trauma, substanee use disorders, bereavement, adjustment to eivilian life, adjustment to injury, issues related to aging and ehronie health eonditions, and homelessness. As a Medieal Soeial Worker and Oneology So eial Worker, Linda provided interdiseiplinary hospiee and palliative eare in hospi tal settings, ineluding develop ment of elient-eentered treatment plans, psyeho-edueation to pa tients and their families, offering support and guidanee around pain management, and leading support and edueation groups. In addition to her extensive ex perienee faeilitating therapy groups related to stress manage ment and psyeho-edueation, Linda provided ease management and erisis intervention serviees to elients and their families, inelud ing assisting with navigation of VA and eommunity resourees, as well as aeeessing needed finaneial resources such as SSI, SSDI, and other basie needs. Linda reeeived her edueation degrees from UCLA in Politieal Seienee and Publie Administra tion (Baehelor of Tkrts) and Soeial Welfare (Master’s Degree). She is a lieensed elinieal soeial worker in NC, CA, and HI. The Counseling Center at JFS offers full serviee therapy at both JFS loeations in Shalom Park and Lake Norman. The therapists at the Counseling Center at JFS are sensitive to issues of faith, while Linda Boothe providing high-quality, eonfiden- tial therapy for people of all ages and ineome levels. Our lieensed therapists aeeess a wide range of therapeutie methods to meet the speeifie needs of those we serve, with the goal of developing prob lem-solving skills and long-term solutions.
