The elderly customer, confined to a wheelchair, travels frequently on Piedmont to attend VFW af fairs. He follows the progress of Piedmont very closely and does not hesitate to offer suggestions that might improve our airline, but is equally quick to compli ment our service. Crumley visited this gentleman to thank him for flying Piedmont. He also took him a birthday gift of food and a radio. Crumley has also taken him on a tour of INTRO and has had him to his home. *** Three Winston-Salem em ployees have received masters of business administration degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro recently. He organized a trade show, and representatives from resorts and hotels in the Baltimore/Washington and Nash ville areas flew to Houston and set up booths. Approximately 300 travel agents from the Houston area attended the event. Among the trade show par ticipants were representatives from Colonial Williamsburg, Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, The Homestead, The Greenbrier, Myrtle Beach, British Airways, and the Bermuda Department of Tourism. “The function was a total success,” Freeland said. “The grand prize was a trip for two qualified travel agents to Ber muda, including transportation to Bermuda via British Airways, accommodations in Bermuda, a two-night stay at the Hyatt in Bal timore, and round-trip service from I AH to BWI via Piedmont.” In addition to the reception and trade show, 12 of our marketing people participated in a blitz of the Houston area to promote our new services.
