THE COLLEGIATE

By JIM PEEBLES
Those of you who were at the homecomintt ball Rame
know what difficulty the colleKe is havinj? in findinjr places
for people to sit at our home basketball frames. A number
of people were turned away from the game because of the
limited amount of space, and there were some hard feelinjrs
jhown toward the people who turned them away. Under
the circumstances, I think the people on the <loors and sell
ing tickets did a fine job and should be commended, Mr.
Cloyd, especially, should be commended for his fine work
in handling the job the way he did.
Now that student.^! know what the situation is, you
are being asked to come to the games early. Have your
athletic card with you and a lot of time can be saved. Be
lure you have your card with you. If you don’t, go back
and get it, since you will have to pay to get in the game.
No student will be admitted without hi< card and no ex
cuse* will be accepted. So have your card with you and do
not let anyone else use it.
It is a known fact that AC needs a new gym and it is
hoped that in the near future this can be arranged. Plans
have already been made for a new gym, but we do not
know when we will get it. And only with full co-operation
from the student body can success be obtained. So help
yourself as well as the school: have your card with you,
don’t lend it to others and above all support your club.

In previous years the "A” Club
has been working on a new con
stitution for the club. It was not
unUl this year that any serious
acUon had taken place about the
matter. This year letters have been
written to various clubs at other
schools for a sample of their con-
sUtuUon and some of the schools
very graciously sent copics.
Now the club is going about the
work of getting a new constitu
tion for the Atlantic Christian Col
lege "A" Club. With the I4ea of
making the club oue of tha beat
in the state, the twys, headed by
president Tom Pritchard and ad
visors Mr. Cloyd, Coach McComas
and Mr. Pulghum are working at
every meeting to set up what they
think will be Sie best policy for the
school and the club.
It has been a policy of the club
for a number of years to let only
winners of monograms of this
sctvxil wear their monograms on
campus. The club is asking the
people who are wearing mono
grams other than the school's:
please 1)0 NOT WEAR THE.M If
you continue to wear them, you
uill be asked personally to remove
them. You will save yourself and
members of the "A" Club embar
rassment if you will do as they
ask.
