How To Apply for an Internship Pam Johnson, Placement Director Almost 75% of all college students have one internship and over 50% have two or more experiences prior to entering the job market. This statistic suggests that in order to be successful in job searches upon graduation, students should have experienced at least one internship. Those students who have not already located a position for the summer, should know that it is not too late. Just follow the four simple steps below. 1. Locate potential positions by searching through books and sites on the Internet 2. Update or create your resume 3. Include a cover letter to let the potential employer know why the applicant is contacting them and why he or she would be an excellent selection for the internship position. 4. Complete an interview, either via phone or in person. Pam Johnson of The Placement Center is available to help BC students with their intern search, resume, cover letter, and interview questions. The Placement Center is located in btamey Center beside Jones Dorm.
