4 THE SEAHAWK/SEPTEMBER 21, ZDDD Question of the Week: Do you think that the host of a party should be help responsible for the actions of their guests? NATHAN DIXON, Junior Student Voices; JEFF BATTLE, Senior sophmore “No, you can’t tell someone what to do. They could do something crazy and then come to your party, and you can’t blame the host for that. You don’t know what their doing when they leave your party. How ever, while at your party the host should be held re sponsible for everything including un derage drinking.” NATALIE LEWIS, Freshman “Yes, because it’s their house and things I get broken and vandalized. Even when the guests leave, the host should be held re sponsible. I've been at parties where crazy stuff happens and the host should defi nitely be respon- “No. It’s not fair if I the host is held re-1 sponsible for ev eryone, when a lot I of times people bring their own beer. After they leave the house there is no way you can control their actions. I think they should lower the drinking age, then there would be no problems. But I think alcohol is bad and no one should drink.” KRYSTAL KORNEGAY, Senior “No, because people should be responsible for their own actions. Just because random people come into your place, you shouldn’t be re sponsible for everyone’s ac tions. Here at UNCW, you’re supposed\o have your party approved by the Dean, and have a guest list. Then if someone leaves your party and goes and kills some one, you’re responsible." Do you have a concern you would like us to address???
