The supervisors of Plant #7, along with their families, enjoyed a fried chicken-ice cream supper at the City Lake on Saturday evening, August 25. A daughter, Sharon Elizabeth, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Allen Allred on August 4. The mother, Christine, is a Pairer at Plant #7. X Employees of the Finishing Depart- ^’^nt surprised Evelyn ("Boe")Osborne With a birthday dinner on September 6. ^hich birthday? Countthe candles on ber cake. We extend our sympathy to J. B. Korie in the death of his wife, Mary ^orie, on September 9. Mr. Rorie is employed in the Knitting Department at Plant #7. A baby daughter, Shirley Diane, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Max Berrier on ■August 20. Shirley, the mother, is a Pairing Department employee. Our sympathy goes to Roland Rich- ^•^■dson and his son, James, in the loss Roland's father and James' grand father, R. L. Richardson, on Septem ber 2. Both Roland and James are em ployed in the Knitting Department. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Burton on the birth of a son, Marty flerald, on August 10. Nancy is a pair- at Plant #7. We are glad to learn that Charlie oung is recuperating satisfactorily at his home after undergoing surgery re cently. We expect him back in the Shop just as soon as the World Series is over. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Creech have a new baby girl, Polly Ann, born on September 25. Agnes ("Smut") is an order clerk at Plant #7. If you've had trouble catching fish recently, see Charlie Tuttle, Finishing Room supervisor. We understand he's had success with a new method—the "lasso method." If anyone doubts the success of this method, Forrest Ed wards, Buck Mason and Bill Sink, who accompanied Charlie on a fishing trip recently, will be glad to testify. Mary Frances Morgan and her family have returned from a wonderful vacation in New Orleans and Texas, visiting points of interest enroute. The only thing they didn't find in Texas were cowboys. However, they caught up with them at the "Grand Ole Opry" in Nash ville. Mary Frances is employed in the Finishing Department of Plant #7.
