NONA PASCHAL AND ATRICE JONES RETIRE Atrice C. Jones admires the gifts presented to her by her co workers when she retired from the Pairing Department of Plant §1 on August 13, 1965. She had been with Adams-Millis Corporation since October 24, 1940. Born in Yadkin County, Mrs. Jones attended Yadkin County schools. When she became twenty-one, she moved to Winston-Salem and worked with Hanes Hosiery for seven years. In 1929, she married L. G. Jones and came to High Point to live. She worked for a short time in Greensboro and also helped her husband with his ice cream business before she secured employment with Adams-Millis in October of 1940. Mrs. Jones first worked on samples at the old Pointer plant on Grimes Street and later was transfer red to pairing. She moved to Plant #1 when the Pointer was consolidated with that plant. Mrs. Jones and her husband, who is also retired, live at 901 Parkside Drive. They are members of North Main Street Baptist Church in High Point. After forty-eight years of em ployment with Adams-Millis Corpora tion, Nona M. Paschal, Plant #1, retired August 6, 1966. Born in Davidson County, she moved to High Point when she was ten years old. Except for a short period during her early teens when she worked in a sewing room, she had been employed with Adams-Millis since she was fourteen years of age. Her first job was topping and knitting in the old High Point Hosiery Mill. She started looping some time later and looped until 1959, when she was transferred to seaming; she remained on that job until her retirement. Mrs. Paschal plans to spend a good bit of her time helping her hus band, Harvey R. ("Shorty") Paschal (former supervisor in the Greige Goods Department of Plant #1) in his business, the Speedy Wee Wash Automatic Laundry in High Point. The Paschals have no children. They reside on Route #1, Kerners- ville and are members of Lebanon Methodist Church. O God, from Whom proceeds all Holy desires, right counsels and good works, grant, we beseech Thee, that we, who have received such bountiful gifts from Thy hands, may use these gifts to help our brothers, whom like ourselves. Thou has made to Thine own image and likeness, and who depend for help on the successful com pletion of the United Fund for funds, now being sought from all of us here in this community. Grant it success, we pray Thee, O glorious and merci ful Father, and fill the hearts of all citizens with the fire of Thy love, that we may love our neighbor for Thy sake, and effectively show our love by helping those in need, to the full measure of our ability and resources. Amen. 6 -
