Rev. C. C. Peel of the Class of I 891
has given his life to the ministry. Upon
the death of Rev. R. A. Ricks in 1 891,
he was called to the pastorate of the
Christian church, in Burlington, N. C.
His first monument as a church builder
is the house of worship, built there dur
ing his ministry, which was, at its com
pletion, the handsomest church in that
city. Another church that stands as a
monument to his labors, is the Christian
church at Haw River. He has served
as pastor, some of the best churches

books, as was stated in this column last

Rev. J. W. Wellons accompanied
