PAGE 6 THE VOICE NOVEMBER 30. 1975 1-jif - i 2e^l- : SM ^ 'I '.-If*’™ J DURING YULE SEASON FSU SINCERE touring PANAMA FAYETTEVILLE-The Fayetteville State University (N.C.) vocal Octet, under the direction of Dr. Lemuel Berry, Jr., will tour and present concerts in Panama City, starting December 15. Dr. Berry, chairman of the music department at FSU, said that this is the second trip for the organization outside the United States since the octet was organized in 1973. According to Berry, the trip is being sponsored by the Deputy Superintendent of Schools and the Department of Education of the Canal Zone. The three-day tour of Panama will conclude December 17. Last February, the octet made a five-day concert tour of Nassau, Bahamas. Later that year during spring break the university choir made a 12-state concert tour which included a two-day stop in Montreal Canada. Members of the Vocal Octet are: Dr. Lemuel Berry, Jr., Director; Mary Adams, freshman, Fayetteville; Grover Battle, freshman, Washington, D. C.; Clifford Cooper, Freshman, Qwena, N. Y.; Levetta Gainey, sophomore, Fayettevilee; Jacqueline Haile, sophomore, Fayetteville; Beverly Heaggans, freshman, Statesville; Donnie Kirby, sophomore, Fayetteville; Eunice McQueen, sophomore, Laurinburg; and Anita Terrell, freshman, Rochester, New York. \- •* INTERN-Fayetteville State University (N.C.) senior coed Juliette McKoy, presently doing flrst semester internsliip, is a business administration major. Henderson) FIRST PRIZE WINNER-Pakistan native Syed M. Yunus, a faculty member and art instructor at Fayetteville State University (N.C.) recently won first place in the Fayetteville Museum of Art competition. Yunus received a cash prize of $500 and has won first prizes twice in the Annual N. C. Arts Council Show. Deadlines for applications for financial aid for the 1976-77 school year: February 16,1976 is the deadline for all 1976 Summer School Applications. March 1, 1976 is the deadline for all 1976-77 Upper Class Applications, PCS and SERs. Parents Confidential Statement (PCS) will be required for the 1976-77 school year. All students who wish to apply for financial aid for 1976-77 school year will be required to file with the College Scholarship Service of Princeton, N. J., a PCS. The PCS should be filed in suf ficient time in order that it may be processed and reviewed by the financial aid office by the date designated above.
