dubs from p. 10 Phi Beta Lambda By J. AZURE SHANKS On Thursday, April 25, 2002 Phi Beta Lambda was presented with the President’s Award at the SGA Banquet. At the state conference April 11-14, 2002, 2 PBL members placed in their competitive event. Amanda Mozingo took place in Accounting Principles, and Joy Salsburg earned 8^^ place in Word Processing. Salsburg was inducted into Who’s Who inNCPBL. Officers of PBL include President Joy Salsburg, Vice President Amanda Mozingo, Secretary Sharon Gibson- Mosley, and Treasurer Angela Wallace. continued p. 14 MAY 1. 2002 - WCC CAMPUS VOICE 11 MASA A newly established club this spring, the Medical Assistants Association, raised money for breast cancer awareness with a bake sale on Monday, April 29. According to Lou Brown, advisor, the club raised $300 from raffle tickets, pink ribbon sales, and baked goods. The money will support the Avon Breast Cancer Research program. Danny Worley won the $20 gift card for Wal Mart, and Heather Abel won the AM/FM cassette/cd player. Officers for the group include President Jacci Boyd, Vice President Julie Coustin, Secretary Vicki Vineyard, and SGA representatives Angela Scheu and Crystal Merlin. International Club members enjoy ice skating, one of the club's activities during spring semester. PHOTO: ASHLEY DIXON International Students Club Officers for the International Students Club include Romita Bulchandani, President; Jessie Tse, Vice President; Ashley Dixon, Secretary; Anthony Ames, Treasurer; and Ronnie Leung and Reith Leung, computer technicians. Fe Finch serves as the group’s advisor. The club has an e-mail address at interstudentclub@hotmail.com. Activities the club has undertaken include making IDs for children at the Derailabration Celebration in downtown Goldsboro and ice skating at the Ice House. The club meets in the Dining Hall where it features foods fi*om various countries as a part of the program.
