2 Ufa teuiltorbian NEWS LINE ' •: ?: ffl& IIS gf >• - K|#||| Recycling forum held A recycling forum was held on Sept. 9 at 7:30 to discuss the new recycling effort with a panel of five: Jim Newlin (fi nancial officer), Bill Scott (maintenance), Kristyn McGraw (recycling coordina tor), Jen Hill (Senate presi dent) and Ashley Emerson (Evergreen representative). Because the effort is now restricted to aluminum cans, it was agreed by consensus that starting Oct 4, interested stu dents should take their glass, plastic and newspaper recyclables to Bauman atNoon on the Ist Sunday of each month. Because this will be independent of maintenance, volunteers will be needed to help sort, load and transport the materials. Board of Trustee com mittee meetings held Several Trustee Board com mittees met Sept. 9 in prepara tion for the full Board meeting on Sept. 25. At that time, the Board will discuss recommen dations made by the commit tees. Provost Poteet described Wednesday's meetings as "routine business." In addition to approving all of die student organisation's budgets, the Senate puts together and dis cusses policies and rulea to make the Guilford community abetter place. Senate also hem apodal requests by students or groups seeking funds for school-related acrivkiae. The Senate is a place whan stu dents and groups can cosne with any concern they haw*.
