EASTER HOLIDAY, 19th SPRING HOPE VS BAILEY There Today PTA TONIGHT ■VOLUME lit NUl^ER 8 Srsjo Honor Parents At Chapel Program Seniors will pay tribute to their parents in their last ohapol program next Friday. The program will be largely choral in pres entation and will repre sent the seniors' appreci ation of their parents’ backing for twelve years. In order to show grati- tudu to' their parents for the encouragement and help given • throughout their school years, the class has worked out its own pro gram of choral readings and songs, assisted by Mrs, Helen Murray, public school music director, Mrs. Moody Glover and R, v'l, Jones will respond in behalf of the mothers and fathers. P.pdlal Hens ’’All Aboard For Music Land" will v^cho through out the Bailey auditorium on the evening of April 23 and April 30 as Mrs. EXoise F, Johnson presents her 3$ music students in tteir yearly recitals. Committees have worked out plans for them to "see a collegc in action." Varied programs and activ ities will fill the day. The seniors, their spon sor, and one or two grade- mothere will be making the trip* APRIL, 19^h Burgbr Damoge CULPRITS ARE UNDER ARREST Damage done by the bur glars, who broke into Bailey School, March 28, and have been arrested, was covered by burglar in surance, states Principal Weaver, This insurance cov ers all-damages done by the burglars—damage to safe, money taken, window broken—at a cost of |12 per year. There was a tear gas bomb connected to the safe. It was broken but it seemed not to have any effect. GASH TAKEN $75,68 in money was taken, two sections of the window broken out, and the safe ripped open. The culprits also went in to Mrs, R. G. L. Edwards’ eighth grade and the agri culture building* They didn't get anything in Mrs. Edwards' room ex cept a baseball bat. The tools used to break into the office were taken from the agriculture building. These were later foundin the pasture behind the school building. Principal V/eaver reports that the insurance adjusTi- er authorized the purchase of a new safe* The safe has been bought. These same boys broke into Farmer Brothers Store that night.
