Student participation in class activities has led to the organization of clubs in a number of ele mentary rooms. Farms, animals, Halloween, and poetry and songs have kept Mrs* Effie Hagwood's and Mrs, Florabelle li man’s rooms busy. Should one be inter-arited in the weather for the past month, he can find the answer in :^s, Olivia Barnes' room where the students have a weather chart, recording tne tem perature and weather con ditions of each day, OFFICERS Mrs, Ruby Boykin's fourtn and fifth grade officers are: President—Melson Skinner Sec,—Billy Lee Stallings Treasurer—Virginia Perry They hold a meeting every Friday afternoon, Bailey's "Hornets" have their namesake, the "Little Hornets," a club in Mrs, Sarah May's fifth and sixth grades. They plan to give seasonal pro grams once a month. Another club is the "Good Times" club in Mrs, Jim Underwood's room. The meet ing will be held every two weeks at which times a pro gram will be presented and a social hour enjoyed. "Bailey Jacks" in >irs, Rachel Paschall's room meet every second and fourth Friday, The pupils have charge of the pro grams. They also have a "clean-up plate" group. To get a check, each child must eat everything on his plate. They also check each person daily for cleanliness. The one who is the cleanest gets to wear the ribbon that day, LEAF COLLECTION Should one want to see a collecting of leaves, then go to Miss Clee Eatmon's room. They post on their bulletin board the best written work, Mrs, Emogene Evan's sev enth and eight grades are making verb booklets and health poster. Miss Rachel Bissette's seventh grade have decora ted twd bulletin boards with pictures and articles on this month. They are planning an indoor garden, using various plants and flowers in it.
