The pro gram began with all mem bers singing the FHa pray er song. devotional An "inspirational" devot ion was given by Barbara wykin, who read the Lord's Prayer off stagu as Jane Earp, dressed as a going to church, stood in front of the cur tain, Arlene Jordan told about the activities in which the chapter participates. Then the songs that mem bers learned at camp and were sung. Arlene then told of the purposes, the emblem, and the flower of the organization. GIFTS All teachers were asked to come to the stage to re ceive a red rose, FHA flower, presented by Ar lene Jordan. After presentation of roses, Bobbie Lou Batts and Phyllis Bissetto held the FHA emblem, which was spotlighted, while the group sang the FHA benedic tion. TOWAltD MEW HORIZONS The LOCAL F. H. A. On Novc-mbcr 1, thu FH.i had its regular initiation for the freshmen girls to bring them into the FHA chapter as active members. Each girl wore her dad's old shirt, necktie, one regular shoe, one tennis shoe, a sock of a kind- books were carried in a sack; and makeup was plac ed on one side of their face. There were 39 girls to en ter the local FHA Chapter. Altogether there is a to tal of 100 members in the Bailey Chapter now. Wilson, N, C.
