Willey, Nashville; John Willey, Coopers; R. M. Bunn, Whita kers; Bill Afford, Red Oak; Fred Langford, V/est Edge combe; H. H. Cherry, Leg gett; J. T, Abrams, South Edgi-combo; T. B. Elliot, Woodland; Don R, Rnse, South Edgecombe; and the local ag. tbacher, John (Boss) Wells. FFA.Boys Ondertoke New Project 9thGradeWcrks- On Farm Program Ninth grade FFa boys have been discussing and work ing on a supervised farm ing program for next year and getting acquainted with the farm record books. Better, efficient-super viced farm programs are the parpop.fif! of FFA boys are building a barbecue pit and furnace back’ of the agricultural building. Work on this pro ject has just begun^ al though the chapter has been planning to build a pit and furnace for the past several years, Thelbert Boykin, past president of the' local chapter, donated about 500 bricks with which to build the furnace. The boys have cleaned these bricks and have started working on the project. The chapter plans to bar becue chickens and pigs. Boss Wells reports that af ter completion the pit and furnace will be available for other classes tr u?e. Ray Fulghum, Henry Brant ley, and Jimmy Bennett lay- ed the bricks. Other boys that are helping with the work are Newton Glover, John ‘ Robert Lainm, Louis Davis, Thomas McKeel, Ted Morris, Bobby Dew, and Hil ton Lamm, NUMBER IN AGRICULTURE There are 73 high school boys taking agriculture.
