BAILEY, NORTH CAROLINA, MAY, 1956 Visitors Frequent BHS Throughout Year Page 16 THE PARADE Honoring Bailey High School this year, many school "dignitaries" and parents have visited the school. Superintendent of Nash County schools, L. S. Insco, has paid visits to gain needed information or to attend to some special business. Frequent visitors to the school, C. H. Fries and Mrs. Mildred D, Hinnant, have been to give test and to help with instriictions. From Atlantic Christian College, East Carolina Col lege, and North Carolina State College, Gus A. Constantine, Dr. Milliard Burt, Miss Alice Strawn, Mrs. Mabel Hall, Dr, Gerald B. James. Dr. S. G. FOR A GAS TO FULFILL ALL YOUR ' HOMECOOKING NEEDS Mayo, and Ezra Howell have come to check the progress and welfare of the prac tice teachers who hail from these colleges. To confer with Principal M, W. Weaver about the organization and operation of the band, Homer A, Lassiter and A. B. Conibs from the State Department of InvStruction dropped by the school. Composed of Henry Shannon, J. L, Pierce, John L, Cameron, W, L. Lathorn, and C, W, Blanchard, a survey team made a study of all Nash County schools and offered recommendations for future consolidation* From Chowan College, Oscar Creech talked with the juniors and seniors about a college career. For various reasons, many parents have visited the school from time to time. Mi’- See the parade marching down the street, With all its people and their trampling feet. See the drummer, beating his drum so loud. And the leader, holding his head so proud. All the people're yelling for a guy named Joe, Who's just returned from Toyko. But Joe is sad, as sad can be. For his girl I have taken away with me. I have heard that people say Joe will catch up with me someday. K he does, and if he can, Joe will find I'm the bet ter man. A.
