Page -7- There are some interesting statistics which came out of this season, and are con- ^^^iderably improved from previous seasons. 16 bowlers, including two gals, broke the ^jEOO-pin game barrier, some once, some twice, some quite a few times. And 19 bowlers, including three gals, had 500-plus series. George Broadstreet, Bob Gallo and Bob Herbst led this group, managing to repeat the feat up to a dozen times each. The "Ancient" in our title in no way reflects lack of talent and capability. Vern Wallace, assisted by Audrey Hoffmeyer, Jane Broadstreet and Millie Herbst, did a first-rate job in planning and coordinating the banquet. Your efforts, ladies, are much appreciated. Mike's Restaurant, the caterer, provided a delicious and more- than-adequate sit-down roast beef dinner. So, with the conclusion of the bowling season, we'll be signing off, so to speak, for the Ancient Mariners until balls and pins once again clash with each other come Fall. Hey, bowlers, do enjoy the off-season.
