President Whitcomb and John P. Powell, mill manager (right), visited Mr. Price on the job on the date of his anniversary. Mr. Price was born in Henry county, Va. and first worked as a doffer at the Nantucket Mill in 1911. His unbroken service began in 1914 when he went to work at the Rhode Island Mill as a weaver. He later was a weaver at the old Lily Mill and the Woolen Mill and had been employed in other Fieldcrest plants before transferring to the Fin ishing Mill in 1940. He was a napper operator until 1948, when he was pro moted to grinder helper, in which clas sification he is still working. •enced mill men from a number of “Companies.
