Jordan Receives Award A person in B.oston, a consumer activist, had a three-pound parcel that he wanted to airmail to England. He decided to do a little comi»arison shopp ing, and so took the package to several post of fices for an estimitte of the cost. He found that mail ing would cost from $2.93 to $11.94, depending on the post office. Officials were naturally a bit upset but had no answer for the fantastic differences in rates exept to blame faul ty scales and poorly train-, ed clerks. Next time you mail a package make sure the clerk doesn’t have his thumb on the scale.
